The One Page You’re Forgetting on Your Website (That’s Costing You Sales)

by | May 10, 2025 | 0 comments

Let’s play a quick game.
Go open your website (yes, now — I’ll wait).
Now tell me: Do you have a dedicated “Why Work With Me” or “About” page that actually sells your services?

Not a boring “Hi, I started this business in 2014 and I love coffee” blurb.
I mean a page that clearly tells visitors who you help, what you do best, and why they should choose you over everyone else.

If not — you’re not alone.
But you’re also probably losing sales. And I say that with love.

Why this page matters more than you think

People buy from people. Especially in service-based businesses.
And if your website is all logos and services and prices, but nowhere do you tell your story or your values? It’s going to feel a bit… meh.

Your “About” page (or “Why Work With Me” or “Meet the Team” or whatever you want to call it) is your chance to build trust, show your personality, and connect.

A great one does three things:

  1. Explains who you help and how
  2. Shares your story or experience in a way that builds credibility
  3. Makes it easy to take the next step (enquiry, booking, download, etc)

Here’s how to fix it — fast

Ask yourself these three questions:

  • Why do people love working with me?

  • What results have I helped people get?

  • What do I believe in when it comes to doing business?

Write down the answers. That’s your page. Honestly — keep it simple. Keep it you.

Final tip? Add a photo.

Not a stock photo. A real one. You, your team, your office, your chaos — whatever feels real.
The goal? Build connection before they even pick up the phone.

You don’t need to be famous. You just need to be you — and give people a reason to trust that you’re the right fit.

Need a fresh pair of eyes on your site? I offer marketing audits too — send me a message and I’ll take a look.
